i got an e-mail from my english teacher this morning. he cancelled class because his wife had a baby. he could not keep the joy he felt from his e-mail. it made me so happy to know that someone can feel so much joy over another life, and be reminded how beautiful life can be.
i took advantage of this cancellation and went for a walk in the snow. there was almost no one else around, and the only sounds i heard were my own breathing and the snowflakes falling. it was so beautiful and perfect and serene, and my entire being was calmed. i almost cried when i realized how lucky i am to see trees, and to see snow, and to watch them go by. i came inside with snow in my hair and on the tip of my nose.
i feel almost like a new person lately. i have been in a continuous state of happiness since i got back here. i have never been so comfortable and sure about who i am, where i am, and what i'm doing.
and it's snowing. and a little girl was born last night.
